Susie Thiel is the Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Kentucky (UK). She is excited to be at this conference as she received her BFA in dance from Western Michigan University and her MFA in Dance from the University of Michigan. Between her undergraduate and grad work, susie spent a decade in NYC, training, performing, creating, and teaching. She started the dance program at UK and Susie often works on dance projects that center around feminism, revealing women’s stories and perspectives. Most recently, she has created a study that uses dance, creativity, multi-generational women, and social networks for interdisciplinary scientific research.
