About me
Jennifer Wellock works at the Department of the Interior and serves as the National Coordinator of the Natural and Cultural Resources Recovery Support Function (NCR RSF) as identified in the National Disaster Recovery Framework. In coordination with FEMA, she assists State, Tribal and Territorial governments address their environmental and cultural resource recovery needs after declared disasters. Previously she acted as the Emergency Support lead for Natural and Cultural Resources under the National Response Framework. Prior to her disaster work, she held a position at the National Park Service and oversaw environmental compliance actions relating to historic preservation grants. Jennifer is a co-author of the Illustrated Guidelines on Flood Adaptation for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings (2021) which identifies recommended approaches and strategies for reducing water damage risk to historic properties.
