About me
Joshua received his BA from Warren Wilson College, a small liberal arts college outside of Asheville NC, where he majored in Fine Arts/Theatre. After a 12-year career in IT that included Director of Information Technology and Director of Operations, Joshua moved to Berea KY, returning to the Appalachian region. Joshua served as President of the Board of Directors of the Berea Arts Council during COVID when there was no staff, and lead the organization to being a more community-focused arts organization. He earned his MA in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky, and became a Program Manager for the Gateway Regional Arts Center in Mount Sterling KY, where he worked in the community and completed a community research report on needs of the community and how art can solve those needs.
Along with the general administration of the organization, Joshua focuses on arts emergency management, IDEA practices, and community enhancement. He writes poetry under the pen name Joshua Gray.
